Nickola Jeffreys

With over twenty years’ experience in the occupational rehabilitation sector, working in a broad range of corporate psychology, mental health and psychological assessment and management roles, Nickola has assisted hundreds of people to successfully return to work.
During this time Nickola has worked with individuals suffering from a range of physical and mental health conditions and has been involved in psychological assessments, counselling, case management, vocational assessments/retraining, medico-legal assessments and earning capacity assessments. In addition to consulting in the mental health field to a wide range of organisations in the corporate, government and tertiary sectors, Nickola has worked within the NSW Workers Compensation, CTP and Comcare schemes.
Nickola is an expert in the area of mediation and workplace conflict training and as a coach and trainer, specialises in corporate health and wellbeing.
Nickola has a BA degree in Psychology and is a member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors, the Careers Practitioner’s Association, and is an accredited mediator through the Australian Disputes Centre.

NMAS Accredited Mediator and Lawyer since 1997 primarily acting in negotiations, dispute resolution and litigation including extensive experience in applicant workers compensation claims and plaintiff common law claims against employers. This has involved working with health professionals and employers enabling return to work programs.
Phyllis has also assisted employers and employees in relation to existing employment issues, termination of employment, policies, procedures, employment contracts, modern awards and enterprise agreements, as well as providing guidance on avoiding discrimination, unfair dismissal and adverse action claims.
In more recent years, Phyllis has drawn on this experience to deliver tailored legal and non-legal presentations and workshops for a variety of audiences. Phyllis is a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Resolution Institute.
Therese Hatfield

As a Health Psychologist, Therese specialises in assessing, treating and rehabilitating people with health related issues including chronic diseases, perinatal depression and anxiety, adjustment to injury and chronic pain, substance use, workplace bullying and harassment, trauma and weight management. She also has extensive experience assessing and treating other common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, panic and relationship issues.
Therese has a particular interest in the use of mindfulness in treatment and frequently utilises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist clients with achieving their treatment goals.
Therese is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, the APS College of Health Psychologists, the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, the Australasian Society of Behavioural Health and Medicine and the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. In addition to providing private counselling services, mediation and Employee Assistance Programs, Therese is registered to provide services through ATAPS, Medicare, Health Insurance funds, WorkCover and State Debt Recovery.

Angela is a registered psychologist and has over ten years’ experience providing one-to-one counselling treatment services and corporate psychology services. Angela specialises in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, occupational stress and pain management. She also has an interest in using hypnosis for the management of pain in childbirth.
Angela’s experience in the workers compensation system is extensive and involves the provision of medico-legal assessments and psychological treatment. She also consults to an insurer panel reviewing psychological treatment provided by psychologists in the workers compensation system and advising insurers and employers regarding claims management.
Angela has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Macquarie University and a postgraduate degree in Psychology (Master of Arts) from the University of Sydney. Angela has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Medical Hypnosis and a Diploma in Psychological Practice. Angela is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Carina has over twenty years’ experience in the occupational rehabilitation sector, specialising in psychological claims, including twelve years working as a return to work coordinator for large corporations.
Carina’s depth of psychological and rehabilitation counselling experience has enabled her to manage the most complex and sensitive situations effectively to deliver positive outcomes. Carina has extensive experience in employee assistance programs and one-on-one counselling. Her wide experience in workers compensation includes the provision of medico-legal assessments, the provision of injury management, return to work, strategic claims management and vocational rehabilitation services.
Carina has a Bachelor of Science degree with honours majoring in Psychology from the University of Wollongong. She is a member of the Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors.

Karl is a co-founder of 32andSunny and Rehabilitation Counsellor with a passion for assisting people to improve their mental health and wellbeing and positively enhancing individual lives, through a proactive and holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Karl’s experience in the occupational rehabilitation sector includes the provision of psychological assessments, counselling, case management, vocational assessments/retraining, medico-legal assessments, and a specialised focus on career transitions and management.
Prior to 32andSunny Karl held high-profile leadership roles in a number of financial services businesses with a proven track record of generating results and successfully achieving the highest impact for a number of extremely profitable asset management brands across Asia Pacific.
Karl has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Human Resources, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, majoring in Marketing. Karl is a member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors and the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association.
